    Recently, the YB1-12/0.4-630kVA pre-assembled substation of Tianrun Electric was successfully put into operation in the Zhejiang Future City community, providing stable power supply for residents and becoming a typical case of upgrading the distribution network to serve the people.


    With the improvement of living standards, the popularization of high-end household appliances and the peak electricity consumption in winter and summer, the existing power distribution facilities are unable to meet the growing load, affecting the power supply quality. To address this issue, the power supply unit, in collaboration with the community and property management, has established a working group. Through 24-hour load monitoring, they identified the problems and, based on the community's positioning and future electricity demand, decided to adopt a 12 kV/0.4 kV - 630 kVA prefabricated substation. The equipment is factory prefabricated and fully assembled and debugged before leaving the factory, significantly shortening the construction period - from transportation to operation, it only takes 5 days, reducing the construction period by about 70% compared to traditional methods, and significantly minimizing the impact on residents' lives.

    During the construction period, the team adopted a "shift work + closed-loop management" model to reduce noise interference and precisely explored to avoid underground pipelines and protect existing facilities. Three rounds of full-load tests were completed before operation to ensure that the parameters met the standards.


    The project has addressed the current issue of insufficient power supply. Its modular design supports subsequent expansion, allowing for flexible adjustments as the number of residents increases or equipment is upgraded, thus avoiding repetitive construction. The power supply department stated that it will promote this model to all high-end and newly-built communities in the city, establishing a "load monitoring + proactive operation and maintenance" mechanism to predict demand in advance and enhance service efficiency.

    With the advancement of urbanization, prefabricated substations, due to their fast construction, stable operation and easy maintenance, will play a significant role in the construction of smart cities, contributing to the establishment of an efficient, reliable and green distribution network.
